One hot afternoon in July, as Emma walked Domino, she saw a large crowd moving towards the city centre. She was curious and moved faster to see what it was everyone was going to see. Domino, a very cute Labrador German Shepherd dog, was enjoying the walk as there were many dogs in town. Emma and Domino stopped at interval to allow Domino greet different dogs.
Emma and the different dog owners smiled at each other while they watched the dogs exchange greetings. With some owners there were small talks around the dogs, like how old they were, what breed they were etc. Owning a dog was a good way to exercise and talk to strangers happily.
Emma hurriedly checked her phone to find out what event it was in town. She was often too busy to keep up with the different events in town. It was a carnival.
There were people from different countries represented, all dressed in their unique colorful cultural outfits. There was gladness in the air as the different groups lined up country by country singing and dancing. The crowd lined up on both sides of the street beaming with excitement.
Emma wished that everyday could be like this.
